Eric Clapton: "Love in Vain"

Here's Clapton playing a very old blues standard made famous by Robert Johnson early in the 20th century. Notice that Clapton doesn't use a dreadnought for this song. He uses a guitar with deeper curves near the soundhole, one that could be called an orchestral guitar (too big to be a parlor model). That's because he's not going for rich blending of all the notes for strumming & playing rhythm. Rather, he's playing the blues, and this model makes the individual notes more pronounced. Great sounding guitar, btw. If you click the label "blues" underneath the post, you can find a version of this song by Keb' Mo' that I posted a while back. Very different yet still in the same ball park. Enjoy.
